well hello there! yeah yeah I know, its been a while since I last posted ... I've come to the conclusion that I'm a much better "blogee" than a "blogger". I love to blog hop and read about other peoples lives ... maybe cuz I'm nosey? anyway when it comes to posting on my own blog I'm just not good at this! .... but .... tonight I actually have something exciting to share :)

I was recently featured over at the Catnip Studio blog! Kathy posted pictures of her new studio reveal and to my delight, the custom strip valances I made for her windows! She was great to work with and its always a thrill for me to see the final resting place of where my valances end up! Her studio (and organization) is very inspirational so head on over there and check it out!

I've been a busy bee getting ready for FOUR craft events, all within the next 2 months! These aprons below are from my vintage linen collection. I just put them on my website

back from vacation ...

and I sure did miss my sewing machine! Thats pretty bad when you are relaxing at a beautiful beach and you think about all the sewing projects you want to do when you get home! Well, ok, thats not really all I thought about while watching my grandkids chasing the waves, eating ice cream, playing puttputt and listening to the sound of the waves crashing on the shore ... it WAS a very nice trip in spite of my leg, but sometimes, theres just no place like home!

Today I had fun making some collage teatowels and they are now in my etsy shop ... so thats one project I can cross off my list for the time being. I made some for myself a while ago and they really get better and better with each washing. I'm sure you will see many more in different colors/prints in the near future.

I do! I love watching fashion makeover shows and HGTV where they take a dull drab room and turn it into a cool space ... those b/4 & after pics are always so inspiring to me ... makes me think to myself I ought to redo some of the rooms in my own house and revive them a bit. But, unfortunately, the shape I'm in all I can do for the next 4-6 weeks is watch those tv shows rather than actually doing any hard labor around here. BUT... I did manage to do this, so check out my before & after makeover :)

just thought I would share the little doll outfit I made for the winner of the giveaway I recently featured on This Is Boutique. The winner was Meli of Jam*Clothing*Co and her sweet little girl requested a dress in rainbow colors and leggings so her undies wouldn't show :) The outfit is now on its way to her house...I hope she enjoys it!

I received my autographed "A is for Apron" book in the mail yesterday and I cant tell you how excited I was! I have never won a contest in my whole life so this was quite a thrill and an honor too! Apron swap number 2, down and out the door! My recipient was Amy and I can tell you this, if you need a laugh read some of her conversations on her blog! It was fun getting to know a little bit about her ... shes very spunky & funny! I hope she likes the apron I sent and the goodies too. I'll post a pic later after I have warned her not to look...unless she cant stand the suspense!

I breezed thru the first 2 books and am halfway thru Eclipse then I'll be onto the newly released and last book in the series "Breaking Dawn". All I've wanted to do lately is read read read...no cooking, no cleaning and have only managed a minimal amount of sewing!

here they are ... my Purple Poppy Dressie Drawers ... comfy for lounging around and pretty enough for a walk to the mailbox! I made a pair of dressie drawers (I just love that name lol) for myself last week (out of Jennifer Paganelli fabric) and debated whether to keep these too cuz I also love Valorie Wells fabrics, but I decided I shouldnt be selfish so I added them to my website! I have enough fabric to make 1 more pair like this so if you need another size do not dispair! Shoot me an email if you are interested! These Dressie Drawers are so much fun I will definately be adding more sizes and prints in the very near future :)

I just participated in my first swap ever and I'm sure its the first of many to come! It was the sassy apron swap with a spring theme. My recipient was Lucy (my byrd house) ... she likes to dig in the dirt so I made her a garden apron full of pockets and handy-dandy loops to carry around a hand shovel or hammer! It was really alot of fun making the apron and also packing it up nice and pretty...I even included some seed packets to get her started, one of which is my home state flower...Maryland Black Eyed Susans :)

I'm a little late posting this and sadly the chocolates are all gone by now, but I wanted to share this box of scrumtious chocolates that I bought hubby for our 32nd anniversary that was on valentines day :) ...being the sharing kinda guy he is, I knew I would get a taste of one or two of them! I saw these Christopher Elbow artisian chocolates on my friends blog and they were too pretty to pass up! Well, I can tell you this.... they did NOT disappoint!!! The rosemary infused and lavender infused caramels were my favs, but they were all delicious! If you have a special person in your life or want to just treat yourself, I highly recommend these!
